After the move of the Tharavad from Karunagappally to Muttom around 1700, documentary evidence has been collected about the family members only from 1766. This would be the 4th or 5th generation, assuming that the mother who shifted the Tharavad was a member of the first generation of the Alummoottil family at Muttom. Members of the 4th / 5th generation would include Mathevan Channar I, born around 1766 and his younger sister Kaali Channatty I born around 1768.

Kaali Channatty I was also referred to as Kochummuny or Kochumundi and she was married to a Lekshana Panicker and after her marriage, she lived in Lekshana with the six children born to her in that marriage. Mathevan Channar I became Karanavar around 1814, but no clear evidence is available about his term as Karanavar. It is assumed that he was Karanavar of the tharavad up to the year 1834. There is no mention about his marital life in any of the available documents.
