Their actions speak volumes. The demolition of the historic arch—bearing the name and legacy of Kochu Kunju Channar III—shows a deliberate attempt to erase the very identity of Meda. The excuse? “Ongoing renovation.” The truth? An aggressive campaign to keep everyone out.
The public was promised—loudly, in Malayala Manorama and Mathrubhumi—that Meda’s doors would reopen on or around July 7, 2024. Yet today, a year later, all who approach are confronted with a “visitors not permitted” sign. Even Anoop, son of Radhakrishnan—who spent his childhood in Meda’s halls—now finds himself shut out by hired outsiders, forced to fight in court just to stand where he belongs. Imagine being exiled from your own home, by your own relatives, while strangers decide your fate.
Anoop’s only crime is wanting to reclaim his rightful place in his family’s history and restore Meda to what it was always meant to be: a living legacy for the family, and a proud landmark for the public. But instead of reason and dialogue, Anoop faces slander. Certain Trust members, notably Sivadasan and Ramesh Chandran, now spread the blatant lie that Anoop is not even part of the family or the Trust. These are not innocent mistakes—these are calculated attempts to mislead the public and the courts, and to rob the family of its heritage.
Let us be absolutely clear: Anoop is and always has been a legitimate family member and a legal constituent of the Alummoottil Tharavad Trust. No backroom whisper campaign can erase that fact. Only a court of law can decide otherwise. Any claim to the contrary is not just false—it’s part of a pattern of fraud that the courts must see for what it is.

Less than a year later, his uncles Ramesh Chandran and Sivadasan would call him a trespasser. Their message was clear: when property is at stake, even blood bonds can be erased.
